Portugal Masters Betting Tips
The very popular Portugal Masters is back for the European Tour and taking place in the ever-popular Vilamoura course Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, there will be a strong field vying for the win. A great weather forecast in southern Portugal should provide an excellent playing condition and some low scores.
While being a course that pros can really take advantage of on good days it is rare to find Dom Pedro without winds playing a part so big hitters who launch balls into the stratosphere may not find the landing point where they hope.
It is a tale of Australian tourists this year with Wade Ormsby and Jason Scrivener bot making the epic journey to the Algarve. Ormsby, in particular, is coming off a good showing at a tournament in Fiji where his putting performance will bode well in this Birdie friendly course. Scrivener is a bit more of an outside bet, but he will want to break his European tour win duck and I can’t think of a better place than Dom Pedro.
Both of these players are at 125/1 which will make them a tasty win if they come off. For the more conservative of you out there South African George Cotzee is in the field and is usually a good performer in tournaments like this. At 33/1 though he is a big cut from the winnings that could be had elsewhere.
Ravens vs Jaguars
It is that time of the year again when the NFL circus comes rolling back into town. We don’t usually have much in the NFL in terms of betting tips but we can’t miss it when it comes to London and Wembley.
Jacksonville Jaguars continue their push to gain British fans by the truckload. Their frequent visits and even soccer style badge will appeal to the Brits. They are even owned by someone with a knowledge of the city as Chairman Khan also owns Fulham FC.
While they may have more of the fans in the crowd, Baltimore Ravens will have more of the talent. Jacksonville is 1-1 at the moment in the season while Ravens remain unbeaten. While Ravens are concerned about their defence this year, which is unusual for them, they are scoring enough points to see off teams.
At ½ though Ravens aren’t great value so perhaps a 13/8 bet on the Jaguars with ‘home’ advantage could see you earning a pretty penny.
Anthony Joshua vs Pulev
Anthony Joshua has announced where he is going next with his boxing career and it is in the ring with Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev. The bout takes place on 28th October in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Joshua is taking his show on the road again.
After seeing off Wladamir Klitschko 6 months ao the sky seemed the limit for Joshua but it quickly became apparent that his lack of opponents was an issue. The heavyweight division has a prodigal son finally but not many tests in his way. One of those is Tyson Fury who is still banned after taking cocaine 18 months ago. His case is being tied up and it almost feels like Anthony Joshua is hanging around for the opportunity to show himself to Fury.
Meanwhile, he has to take on the mandatory challenger and unfortunately Pulev will likely go the way of a lot of his early opponents. Fans will be hoping for a spectacular knockout in this one. Pulev has already given his hand away telling the press he is scared of both Joshua and the occasion in Cardiff. Not the best way to start training before entering the ring.
Bet 365 have the first four rounds at 6/1 for a stoppage so a nice spread on these will bring a profit. Anthony Joshua is likely to make short work of this while waiting for a worthy opponent.
